Four years in prison for killing two pedestrians in Villeneuve d Ascq at the wheel of a van
On October 3, 2017, in Villeneuve-d Ascq, two pedestrians died struck by the driver of a van who lost control. The driver should never have been behind the wheel, he knew he was epileptic. The Lille court has just sentenced him for aggravated manslaughter.
Quentin Casier-Maache, 25, fled during the deliberation, thus delaying his departure to prison. This Wednesday evening, in accordance with the prosecution's requisitions, he was sentenced to four years in prison with an arrest warrant. His driver's license is canceled. He is prohibited from taking it for five years.
